Ammonium Chloride in 25kg & 50 kg bags

Ammonium Chloride (NH4Cl) is a white crystalline salt, highly soluble in water, used widely in both agricultural and industrial applications. It is produced through the reaction of ammonia (NH3) with hydrochloric acid (HCl) or as a by-product of the Solvay process for sodium carbonate production.

Key Characteristics of Oltin Ammonium Chloride:

Content Contains 25-26% nitrogen (N) in ammonium form and 65-66% chloride (Cl), providing nitrogen for plants and chloride for specific crops and industrial uses.

Form: Available in both granular (2-4 mm) or crystalline form, with granules suited for uniform agricultural and industrial application.

Benefits

1) Agricultural: Supplies nitrogen for vegetative growth and chloride for pest/disease resistance in crops like rice and coconut.

2) Industrial Acts as a flux in metalworking, electrolyte in batteries, pH regulator in pharmaceuticals, and dyeing agent in textiles.

Application:

Agricultural Usages:

1) Nitrogen Source: Supplies 25-26% nitrogen, ideal for crops requiring rapid nitrogen uptake, such as rice, wheat, and maize. It enhances vegetative growth and boosts yields in nitrogen-deficient soils.

2) Chloride Benefits: The chloride content (65-66%) improves pest and disease resistance in crops like rice and coconut, particularly in low-lying or saline soils.

3) Soil Fertility: Enhances soil fertility in acidic or chloride-deficient soils, making it a preferred fertilizer in regions like Asia, where rice cultivation is prevalent.

4) Application: Used in basal applications during planting or as a top-dressing during growth stages. Its high solubility supports fertigation and foliar feeding for quick nutrient delivery.

Industrial Usages:

1) Metalworking: Acts as a flux in soldering, galvanizing, and tinning, removing oxides and impurities to improve metal quality and flow during processing.

2) Battery Production: Serves as an electrolyte in zinc-carbon dry cell batteries, facilitating electron flow for efficient battery performance.

Production: Produced by reacting ammonia with hydrochloric acid, granulated, and dried. Indorama’s Oltin brand, launched mid-2024 in Uzbekistan, ensures high purity and low impurities using modern facilities, tailored for agriculture, and industrial needs, it ensures uniform nutrient release and minimal dust.
