Indorama Holdings B.V., a wholly- owned subsidiary of Indorama Corporation, Singapore, acquired State owned company, JSC Kukon Superphosphate factory, based in city of Kokand, Uzbekistan, in June 2019 through a government privatisation process. Subsequent to the acquisition the acquired entity JSC "Kokand superphosphate plant was renamed as JSC Indorama Kokand Fertilizers and Chemicals. The acquisition aligns with global strategy of Indorama Corp., to expand its foot print in countries which has both natural resource advantages and captive markets. With new investment into modern technology and international technical expertise, JSC Indorama Kokand Fertilizers & Chemicals has the potential to create jobs, enable other industries & services to develop, boost exports and ensure food security through better crop yields.
