Sulphuric Acid (H₂SO₄)
Sulphuric Acid (H₂SO₄)
Sulfuric acid at 92-98.5 % concentration is highly corrosive and reactive, making it a cornerstone in numerous industrial processes. The premium quality and the best of the industry product manufactured by IKF in newly built SA Plant. Primarily used for fertilizer production, it is mostly supplied domestically to other fertilizer producers, Metal processors, Battery manufacturers, Liquorice producers etc. Can be loaded both in customised tanker wagon and truck tankers.
Key Characteristics
Composition
Composition

Contains a minimum of 98.5 % H₂SO₄ in concentrated form, adhering to GOST standards, with CAS Number 7664-93-9

Available Forms
Available Forms

Clear, liquid, highly water-soluble, releasing heat during dilution. Stored in corrosion-resistant containers (e.g., stainless steel, HDPE)

Benefits
benefit no 1

Drives key industrial processes, including fertilizer production, chemical synthesis, battery manufacturing, and uranium mining, due to its strong acidity and reactivity.

benefit no 2

High purity ensures efficiency across diverse applications.

Product Documents
Production
Production

Produced via the contact process: sulphur is burned to SO₂, oxidized to SO₃, and hydrated to H₂SO₄. Indorama Kokand Fertilizers in Uzbekistan produces sulphuric acid at its modernized facility (capacity: 82,500 tons/year) for both in-house fertilizer production (e.g., SSP, ASSP) and as a standalone product under the Oltin brand.

Industrial Application
Industrial Application

Used in fertilizer production (e.g., reacting with phosphate rock to produce SSP, ASSP for agricultural use), soil acidification for crops like blueberries, lead-acid battery manufacturing, uranium mining (leaching), mineral processing (e.g., copper), petroleum refining (alkylation), and synthesis of detergents, dyes, and explosives. Also applied in steel pickling, wastewater treatment, and textile processing.
